Now I am not an IT professional mind you but I used test files with the scr
extension as "SCRipt" files. The operating system likes to grab them and
just do as the text inside instructs it. I use OE and it would reject such
files if I set it up to but being a curious fellow, I like to see what I am
missing.

Following quote is lifted from Symantec [Norton Antivirus], edited only for
brevity:

< quote>
Symantec Security Response encourages all users and administrators to adhere
to the following basic security "best practices":

* Configure your email server to block or remove email that contains
file attachments that are commonly used to spread viruses, such as .vbs,
.bat, .exe, .pif and .scr files.
<end quote>

If you wonder what you're missing in scr files, you could be a mite too
curious.
